The Dahlke Foundation Turns 3 — And We Have a Lot to Celebrate!
Since end of 2022, the Dahlke Foundation has been supporting aging people with disabilities in the LebensOrten Berlin and in the LebensGemeinschaft Rohrlack-Vichel. Our mission: enabling them to live fulfilled, culturally integrated lives in the places they call home — for as long as possible.
💡 Real impact in real lives Already in 2024, our work proved vital: after a resident suffered a serious fall, we were able to finance six months of external nursing support — allowing her to stay in her familiar environment instead of moving away.
🌱 More mobility, more therapy, more joy Thanks to your support, we’ve made lasting improvements:
Wheelchair-accessible floor trampolines in Rohrlack (2023) and Berlin (2025)
Regular eurythmy sessions and therapeutic horse riding, co-financed long-term with izfb e.V.
From 2026, we aim to develop even more targeted therapeutic use of trampolines with experienced partners.
🎶 Culture that connects Our concerts — from the annual "castle concert" in Vichel to last year’s major anniversary event — bring residents, caregivers, neighbors, and guests together. In 2026, people with disabilities will help record and publish these events online thanks to foundation-funded equipment.
💛 Why we need your support now A major donation and a successful fundraising campaign in 2023 strengthened our foundation capital. Since then, we’ve been able to reliably support many small but impactful projects.
To continue this work — and to take on larger projects in the future — we need to grow our endowment capital. Donations that increase the foundation’s capital have the most long-lasting impact, because they generate stable income for long-term support.
👉 How you can help You can donate via PayPal, credit card, or bank transfer through our website. To strengthen the foundation capital, simply add the note: “To increase the foundation’s capital”.
Every contribution helps aging people with disabilities remain active, involved — and at home.
Thank you for your support!
And a heartfelt thank you to izfb e.V., whose partnership makes our work possible.
